One of the biggest challenges that governments face in social protection is fragmentation and lack of coordination. CODI is an innovative tool developed by leading experts from international organizations that aims to build a rapid diagnostic of the performance of social protection systems. The tool allows for a comprehensive assessment of key areas to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a system through a participatory process that engages relevant stakeholders. It is arranged along three modules: policy, program design, and program implementation, and provides entry points for policy dialogue with a set of common and agreed upon vocabulary, definitions, and framework.
To date, 22 countries have implemented or are in the process of implementing CODI. Join us for this webinar to learn about the experiences in Lebanon and the Philippines. In this webinar, our panelists will elaborate on their unique experience using this tool. Each panelist will share their experience in adapting the tool to fit the country context, the different steps of the process, challenges, and impacts.
